Bridges

BridgeA dental bridge is a restoration that replaces one or more missing teeth.  A bridge becomes a treatment option when healthy teeth are located on both sides of the missing tooth or teeth.  These adjacent teeth can be used as supports for the bridge to attach to.  By replacing missing teeth, a bridge can prevent the movement of surrounding teeth and in turn reduce the risk of decay and gum disease.  It improves speech and restores smiles when it replaces front teeth, and the ability to chew when it involves molars.

Bridges are made from gold alloys, or porcelain to provide functional strength, durability and esthetics.  This type of restoration typically requires two office appointments.
